Göran Hägerdal
Karl Göran Hägerdal (, born March 11, 1966, in Kristdala parish, Kalmar County, Sweden) is the Global Director of Scouting Development at the World Scout Bureau headquarters of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in Kuala Lumpur, and served as one of three camp chiefs of the 22nd World Scout Jamboree at Rinkaby, Skåne, from 27 July to 7 August 2011. Between 2004 and 2012 he was Deputy Secretary General of the Svenska Scoutrådet, the former umbrella organization for Swedish Scouting. Hägerdal has been involved in the Scout movement in various roles since age eight. In 1996, he was deputy camp chief of the World Scout Moot conducted in , Ransäter, Värmland. In 2001, he was one of two responsible for the program in , Sweden's first national jamboree between all five Swedish Scout associations. Scouting And Guiding In Sweden
Scouting and Guiding in Sweden is represented by one organisation Scouterna as a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement and World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. It was formed in 2012 as the successor to Svenska Scoutrådet (''The Swedish Guide and Scout Council'', SSR) which consisted of five different associations. Bronze Wolf Award
The Bronze Wolf Award is an award presented by the World Organization of the Scout Movement for outstanding service by an individual to the Scout Movement. Just over 400 people have received the Bronze Wolf since its creation in 1935. WOSM has restricted the number of recipients during the award’s history in order to maintain its significance. Currently, the award is limited to approximately one recipient for every two million members worldwide. The award itself consists of a bronze wolf pendant hung on a dark green ribbon bordered by two narrow stripes of yellow. History WOSM first considered an international Scouting award in 1924. Silver Wolf Award (Scouterna)
The Silver Wolf ( Swedish: Silvervargen) is the highest award made by Swedish Scouting, to active leaders at the national level for exceptionally meritorious work. The award consists of a stylized silver wolf with a fleur-de-lis with the words "Scouterna", suspended from a turquoise neck ribbon. The Silver Wolf will be distributed by someone who already holds the award. The Silver Wolf was established in 1920 for extraordinary contributions to Scouting. The original badge also meant that apart from being first-class, the Scout also passed tests for first aid and another 15 specific merit badges. 21st World Scout Jamboree
The 21st World Scout Jamboree was held in July and August 2007 and formed a part of the Scouting 2007 Centenary celebrations of the world Scout Movement. The event was hosted by the United Kingdom, as 2007 marked the 100th anniversary of the founding of Scouting on Brownsea Island Scout camp, Brownsea Island. The event was held for 12 days between 27 July and 8 August, in Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex. This site was selected because of the easy access to air and sea transport, and it is also near Gilwell Park, an important campsite and training centre for Scout Leaders. Over 38,000 Scouts and leaders from 158 countries which have a recognised National Scout Organization (recognition is conferred by membership in the World Organization of the Scout Movement) camped for the event, while over 50,000 others attended for day visits.
