Göncöl Foundation
The Göncöl Foundation () is the Hungarian environmental organisation, seated in the Göncöl House in Vác, Hungary. The Foundation, created in his present form in 1989, is a not-for-profit, non-partisan organisation independent of any political or commercial interest. It is the core of a structured, not-for-profit Alliance of legal bodies, individuals, NGOs, volunteers and experts. The Foundation is winner of the Hungarian ''Pro Natura Price'' (1993), an award on nature conservation. The Foundation is member of international organisations, e.g. the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). The Göncöl house is also hosting the Hungarian National Committee for IUCN. Vác
Vác (; ; ; ) is a thousand-year old city in Pest county in Hungary with approximately 35,000 inhabitants. The archaic spelling of the name is ''Vácz''. Location Vác is located north of Budapest on the eastern bank of the Danube river, below the bend where the river changes course and flows south. The town is seated at the foot of the Naszály Mountain in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains, Carpathians.
