Gërmova
PENDANG () is a village in Viti, Kosovo, Viti Municipality, Kosovo. History The Gërmova mosque was founded in 1447 according to its foundation stone, making it one of the oldest in Kosovo and indeed in all lands historically inhabited by Albanian people, Albanians. During the Yugoslav colonization of Kosovo, labeled "agrarian reform," 50 Serbian people, Serb families settled in Grmovo/Gërmova. During the Kosovo Operation (1944), Gërmova and Vitina were occupied by the Bulgarian army. After World War II, Gërmova was taken back by the Yugoslav government, which continued to hold it as Serbia and Montenegro and later Serbia until 17 February 2008, ''de facto'' and beyond ''de jure'', given the 2008 Kosovo declaration of independence. Liridon Krasniqi
Liridon Krasniqi (born 1 January 1992) is a professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for FC Schaffhausen II. Born in Kosovo, he has represented both the Kosovo and Malaysia national teams. Krasniqi made his senior debut with Mladá Boleslav in 2011 before signing for Turkish club Ankaraspor two years later. He did not make any appearances for the team, and was loaned to the TFF First League side Fethiyespor for the 2013–14 season. In 2015, Krasniqi joined Malaysian side Kedah, winning the 2016 Malaysia Cup and 2017 Malaysia FA Cup during his four-year spell with the club. After a brief spell with Melaka United, he signed for defending Malaysia Super League champions Johor Darul Ta'zim ahead of the 2020 season. Viti, Kosovo
Viti ( sq-definite, Vitia) or Vitina ( sr-Cyrl, Витина) is a town and municipality located in the District of Gjilan in Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the town of Viti has 4,924 inhabitants, while the municipality has 46,987 inhabitants. Geography The town of Viti and the southern part of the Municipality lies on the foothills of the Skopska Crna Gora Mountains. History Ottoman period The municipality has several settlements historically inhabited by the Laramans, crypto-Catholics. Kosovo War and aftermath During the Kosovo War 16 KLA soldiers, as well as 5 Serb soldiers and policemen were killed in Viti. The entire fighting happened in 1999 and in the southern part of the municipality, near the Karadak Mountains, in villages such as Lubishtë, Gjylekare, Mogillë, Smirë, Kabash and Dëbëlldeh. The District of Gjilan (; ) is one of the seven Districts of Kosovo, districts (the higher-level administrative divisions) of Kosovo. Its seat is in the city of Gjilan. History Anamorava, literally "side of river of Morava", is the hilly countryside in south eastern Kosovo south of Gjilan and on the Binačka Morava. 2008 Kosovo Declaration Of Independence
The 2008 Kosovo declaration of independence, which proclaimed the Kosovo, Republic of Kosovo to be an independent and sovereign state, was adopted at a meeting held on 17 February 2008 by 109 out of the 120 members of the Assembly of Kosovo, including the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, and by the President of Kosovo, Fatmir Sejdiu (who was not a member of the Assembly). It was the second declaration of independence by Kosovo Albanians, Kosovo's Albanian-majority political institutions; Republic of Kosova, the first was proclaimed on 7 September 1990. The legality of the declaration has been disputed.
