Gérard Gili
Gérard Gili (born 7 August 1952) is a French football manager and former player. Gili's highest profile appointment was as manager of Ivory Coast. He was named as the Ivorians' head coach in January 2008, following the resignation of Ulrich Stielike due to personal reasons on the eve of the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations. Gili was promoted from within, having been a former coach of the country's Under-23 side with whom he qualified for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. After leaving the Ivory Coast job, Gili was named manager of Qatari side Umm Salal, but he was sacked in 2010, leaving him unemployed for a year. However, he was reinstated on 15 December 2011 after Umm Salal sacked Moroccan coach Hassan Harmatallah 'for unhealthy working environment'. Umm-Salal Sports Club
Umm Salal Sport Club ( ar, نادي أم صلال الرياضي) is a Qatari professional football club based in Umm Salal, that competes in the Qatar Stars League, the highest tier of Qatari football. It used to be known as Al-Tadamun Sport Club. It is best known for being the first Qatari club to make it to the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League. History Umm Salal were formed in 1979 under the name ''Al-Tadamun Club'' and entered into the Qatari Second Division along with five other clubs. After the dissolution of two other clubs in the second division, Al Tadamun was also dissolved. The club was reformed in 1996, with Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Thani heading the club. It won the Qatari 2nd Division in their second season after reformation, in addition to lifting the league trophy two more times in 2000 and 2006. Coupe De France
The Coupe de France, formerly known as the Coupe Charles Simon, is the premier knockout cup competition in French football organized by the French Football Federation (FFF). It was first held in 1917 and is open to all amateur and professional football clubs in France, including clubs based in the overseas departments and territories. Between 1917 and 1919, the competition was called the Coupe Charles Simon, in tribute of Charles Simon, a French sportsman and the founder of the French Interfederal Committee (the ancestor of the French Football Federation), who died in 1915 while serving in World War I.
