Nemzeti Bajnokság III
Nemzeti Bajnokság III (''NB III'', ''National Championship III'') is the third tier of Football in Hungary, Hungarian football (from the autumn of 1997 till the spring of 2005, NB III was the fourth tier, the third was NB II). The tier contains 4 groups (northeast, northwest, southeast and southwest) of 16 teams. From NB III, the champions of each group will battle promotion play-off, two teams winning play-off are promoted to the Nemzeti Bajnokság II, NB II. The three lowest teams of each group and two worst 13th place teams are relegated to the first tier of local divisions (''Megyei Bajnokság I, MB I''). From NB II, the four lowest teams are relegated to NB III from 2024–25 season. Gárdony is a town in Fejér county, Hungary. It is located 55 km () from Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Etymology The name Gárdony is believed to have originated in the early 13th century. History There is at least one known writing dating back to 1260 that referred to Gardun, King of Zsigmond (1387-1437). On 31 March 1989 Gárdony changed its status from village to town. 2022–23 Megyei Bajnokság I
The 2022–23 Megyei Bajnokság I includes the championships of 20 counties in Hungary. It is the fourth tier of the Hungarian football league system. Bács-Kiskun Kiskunfélegyháza and Bácsalmás were the only team to acquire the NB III license for next season. Bácsalmás was ineligible based on league position and the champion declined the participation before the promotion play-offs for financial reasons. The Hungarian Cup (, ), officially known as MOL Magyar Kupa for sponsorship reasons, is the Hungarian cup competition for football clubs. It was started by the Hungarian Football Association'','' in 1909, eight years after the commencement of the Hungarian League. The 2021–22 Nemzeti Bajnokság I (also known as 2021–22 OTP Bank Liga), also known as NB I, was the 123rd season of top-tier football in Hungary. The league was officially named ''OTP Bank Liga'' for sponsorship reasons. Ferencváros were the defending champions.
