Guy Goodes
Guy Goodes (; born 13 March 1971) is an Israeli professional basketball coach and former player. He was most recently the head coach of Hapoel Holon of the Israeli Premier League. Professional career Goodes played as a point guard from 1994 to 2004, primarily with Maccabi Tel Aviv (1990–97 and 1998–99). He was on the Israel basketball national team from 1995 to 1999. Coaching career He was head coach of Maccabi Rishon Lezion in 2004–06. Later, he was an assistant coach at Maccabi Tel Aviv from 2006 to 2008. In June 2008, Hapoel Jerusalem hired him as its head coach, to a one-year contract with a team option for a second year. He coached the team from 2008 until 2010. Since then, he has been an assistant coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv. In 2014, he won the EuroLeague title with Maccabi. Euroleague Basketball, run by Euroleague Commercial Assets (ECA), is a private company that runs and operates men's professional basketball club competitions in Europe, the first-tier level EuroLeague, and the second-tier level EuroCup. Oded Kattash (; born October 10, 1974) is an Israeli professional basketball coach for Maccabi Tel Aviv and former player. During his playing career, at a height of , he played at the point guard position. He was the 1998 Israeli Basketball Premier League MVP. As a player, he won the EuroLeague title in the 1999–2000 season, while playing with Panathinaikos. Ariel Avraham Beit-Halahmy (; born 4 February 1966) is an Israeli professional basketball coach who is the current head coach for Hapoel Afula of the Israeli Premier League and the Israel national team. Zvi Sherf
Zvi Sherf (; born December 18, 1951, in Tel Aviv, Israel), known almost universally by his nickname Zvika (), is an Israeli former basketball player and professional basketball coach. Coaching career Sherf played basketball with the Maccabi Tel Aviv youth teams, starting at age 12. By age 16, Sherf was playing for Maccabi South Tel Aviv (the club's second side), and was sent to a coaching course, along with fellow future Israeli basketball coach Pini Gershon. David Blatt
David Michael Blatt (; born May 22, 1959) is an Israeli-American professional basketball executive. He is also a former coach and player. Blatt played point guard at Princeton University from 1977 to 1981 and played in the Maccabiah Games for the U.S. national team that won a gold medal in 1981 Maccabiah Games, 1981. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. They effectively "run" the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time.
