Guy Deghy
Guy Deghy (born Gedeon Aladar Istvan Deghy; 11 October 1912 – 25 February 1992), was a Hungarian-born actor who appeared largely in British films and television. Career He appeared in the 5th episode of the first season of'' The Saint'' depicting Inspector Oscar Kleinhaus, also making another appearance as the same character in an episode of the 5th series, as well as appearances in an additional episode and a TV movie as different characters. Another example was his 1960 appearance in the Patrick McGoohan television series ''Danger Man'' episode "The Traitor" as a guard on a train as well as in the 1961 episode "Name, Date and Place" as Vogel. Deghy also appeared on the London stage. He died in London, at the age of 79, on 25 February 1992. ''Where Eagles Dare'' is a 1968 action adventure war film directed by Brian G. Hutton and starring Richard Burton, Clint Eastwood and Mary Ure. Set during World War II, it follows a Special Operations Executive team charged with saving a captured American General from the fictional ''Schloß Adler'' fortress, except the mission turns out not to be as it seems. It was filmed in Panavision using the Metrocolor process, and was distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Alistair MacLean wrote the screenplay, his first, at the same time that he wrote the novel of the same name. Both became commercial successes. The film involved some of the top filmmakers of the day and was shot on location in Austria. ''Lost'' (also known as ''Tears for Simon'') is a 1956 British thriller film directed by Guy Green and starring David Farrar, David Knight and Julia Arnall. It was written by Janet Green. It is set in 1950s London, and revolves around the apparent kidnapping of a young couple's baby. Plot US embassy employee Lee Cochrane and his Austrian wife discover their 18-month-old son Simon has been abducted, after their nanny leaves the child unattended outside a chemist's shop. London Detective Inspector Craig pledges to find the child, though clues are thin on the ground. The couple are criticised in a newspaper article. They and the police follow up various leads which turn out to be dead ends, including supposed kidnappers who are con artists. Eventually the wife of one of the officers recognises the words in a torn piece of paper as belonging to a particular novel. ''The Comedy Man'' is a 1964 British kitchen sink realism drama film directed by Alvin Rakoff and starring Kenneth More, Cecil Parker, Dennis Price and Billie Whitelaw. It depicts the life of a struggling actor in Swinging London. More later said that when he read the script he "was profoundly struck by its relevance to my own life, and to the lives of so many actors I had known." The film received limited distribution, being released on a double bill with ''Lord of the Flies'' (1963). ''The Mouse on the Moon'' is a 1963 British comedy film, the sequel to ''The Mouse That Roared (film), The Mouse That Roared''. It is an adaptation of the 1962 novel ''The Mouse on the Moon (novel), The Mouse on the Moon'' by Irish author Leonard Wibberley, and was directed by Richard Lester. In it, the people of the Duchy of Grand Fenwick, a microstate in Europe, attempt space flight using wine as a propellant. It satirises the space race, Cold War and politics. Peter Sellers, who had played three roles in the first film, did not return for this sequel and was replaced by Margaret Rutherford and Ron Moody for two of Sellers' characters.
