Guxo
Guxo! ( en, Dare!) is a centre-right political party in Kosovo, formed on 5 November 2020 by Vjosa Osmani. In February 2022, Guxo was registered as a political party as up to that point it was a political list. History The party presented candidates within the common list of Vetëvendosje in the 2021 Kosovan parliamentary election, and obtained seven deputies, including Vjosa Osmani. Two of its members joined the Second Kurti cabinet resulting from these elections, which caused the number of deputies from the party to fall from seven to five. Vetëvendosje
Lëvizja Vetëvendosje (, en, Self-determination Movement; LVV) is a centre-left to left-wing political party in Kosovo. It is orientated towards principles of social democracy, populism, and Albanian nationalism. Vetëvendosje was founded in 2005 as a grassroots, anti-establishment movement and as a successor of the Kosova Action Network (KAN) and participated in elections for the first time in 2010. The movement widely bases its ideology on the works of Ukshin Hoti. Vetëvendosje campaigns for social and political change based on the principles of equality, democracy, political freedom and social justice for every citizen. Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz
Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz (born 16 October 1971) is a Kosovan] politician. A member of the Guxo political list of the Vetëvendosje political party, she has served as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Second Deputy Prime Minister in the Second Kurti cabinet since 2021. Gërvalla-Schwarz is the daughter of assassinated Albanian activist Jusuf Gërvalla. She is the president of the centre-right political party Guxo!. Her father was activist Jusuf Gërvalla, who advocated for Albanian nationalism and Marxism–Leninism. The president of the Republic of Kosovo ( sq, Presidenti i Republikës së Kosovës, ), is the head of state and chief representative of the de facto Republic of Kosovo in the country and abroad. The president is elected indirectly, by the Assembly of Kosovo, in a secret ballot by a two-thirds majority of deputies in functions. 2021 Kosovan Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Kosovo on 14 February 2021. The results were a landslide victory for Vetëvendosje led by Albin Kurti and its coalition partner, Vjosa Osmani, former speaker of the parliament of Kosovo. The alliance won more than 50% of the total votes, the highest share since the first elections held in 2001, while their nearest rivals, the Democratic Party, finished in second place, trailing by more than 33%. The Vjosa (; indefinite form: ) or Aoös ( el, Αώος) is a river in northwestern Greece and southwestern Albania. Its total length is about , of which the first are in Greece, and the remaining in Albania. Its drainage basin is and its average discharge is . The main tributaries are Voidomatis, Sarantaporos, Drino and Shushicë. The river arises in the Pindus mountains of Epirus, Greece, and generally flows northwest. It enters Albania near Çarshovë, and empties into the Adriatic Sea just north of Vlorë. Generally wild and unpolluted, the river is surrounded by the Vikos–Aoös National Park in Greece and the Vjosa-Narta Protected Landscape near its mouth.
