Gutshot Card Club
The Gutshot Poker Club (also known as The Gutshot Poker Collective or simply The Gutshot) was a poker club, bar, restaurant and internet cafe located on Clerkenwell Road, London, England. The club opened in March 2004 and closed in 2007. It was founded by Barry Martin and Derek Kelly. Overview The club ran poker Cash game, ring games, and poker tournament, tournaments one to three times per day, and hosted four festivals of poker per annum. Clerkenwell Road
Clerkenwell Road is a street in London. It runs west–east from Gray's Inn Road in the west, to Goswell Road in the east. Its continuation at either end is Theobald's Road and Old Street respectively. Clerkenwell Road and Theobalds Road were constructed by the Metropolitan Board of Works in 1874–78 as the central portion of an intended cross-capital arterial road, linking the West End and East End. The road is served by London Bus routes London Buses route 55, 55, London Buses route 243, 243 and night route London Buses route N55, N55. Chris Moneymaker
Christopher Bryan Moneymaker (born November 21, 1975) is an American poker player who won the Main Event at the 2003 World Series of Poker (WSOP). His 2003 win is said to have revolutionized poker because he was the first person to become a world champion after qualifying at an online poker site. This has been referred to in the press as the " Moneymaker effect". Early life Moneymaker was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Farragut High School in Knoxville, Tennessee, and later earned a master's degree in accounting from the University of Tennessee. After receiving his master's degree, Moneymaker worked as a comptroller. He was also a part-time employee at a local restaurant, in Spring Hill, Tennessee. The Cake Network was a Curaçao based online poker network owned and operated by parent company Cake Gaming NV. Cake Network was founded in 2004 and launched its first network skin, Cake Poker, in June 2006. Other network partners followed, including Sportsbook.com, Red Star Poker and BetUS. Andrew Elliot Bloch (born June 1, 1969) is a professional poker player. He holds two electrical engineering degrees from MIT and a JD from Harvard Law School. Blackjack While studying at MIT, Bloch became part of the MIT blackjack team, featured in the book '' Bringing Down the House''. Howard Lederer
Howard Henry Lederer (born October 30, 1964) is an American professional poker player. He has won two World Series of Poker bracelets and holds two World Poker Tour titles. Lederer has also contributed to several books on poker strategy and has provided commentary for poker programming. He is known by poker fans and players as "The Professor" and is the older brother of professional poker player Annie Duke. Lederer is a founder and board member of Tiltware, the company that launched Full Tilt Poker in 2004.
