Gustavo Ramos (artist)
Gustavo Ramos (born 1993) is a Brazilian-American fine artist and oil painter. He initially gained recognition for painting a series of realistic portraits that went on to receive national and international awards. In 2020, he was a featured artist at the Springville Museum of Art, where one of his paintings was acquired for the museum's permanent collection. In 2022, he was selected as a winner of Royal Talens' The Year of Rembrandt Award, when his work was displayed in the Rijksmuseum. Early life and education Gustavo Ramos was born in 1993 in the country of Brazil. At the age of 15, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona. Not being fluent in the English language, he turned his attention to facial expressions and bodily gestures which precipitated his interest in portrait drawing and painting. He went on to study oil painting at Southern Virginia University where he earned his bachelor's degree in 2017. The Springville Museum of Art in Springville, Utah, United States is the oldest museum for the visual fine arts in Utah. In 1986, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Art Renewal Center
The Art Renewal Center (ARC) is a non-profit, educational organization, which hosts an online museum dedicated to realist art. The ARC was founded by New Jersey businessman, author, and art collector Fred Ross. Particular emphasis is given to nineteenth-century Salon painting. William-Adolphe Bouguereau is represented by more than 226 images on the site; Ross says that Bouguereau's work is accessed twice as often as any other artist on the site. Purpose The Art Renewal Center is devoted to the rehabilitation of late nineteenth-century academic painting. The Art Renewal Centre offers a scholarship program, as well as an annual salon competition in order to promote classical realism. Ross places an emphasis on William Bouguereau, and has written books about him, such as "William Bouguereau: His Life and Works". Florence Academy Of Art
The Florence Academy of Art is an American art school in Florence, in Tuscany in central Italy. It was started by Daniel Graves, an American painter, in 1991. Teaching is in the traditional style of the old masters. The school is a branch of the International Academy of Fine Art, and is recognised as a certificate programme by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.
