Gustavo Carvajal Moreno
Gustavo Carvajal Moreno (1939 – 25 February 2017) was a Mexican politician and member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), of which he became president. He also served as secretariat of agrarian reform, a senator, and a federal representative. He was the son of Ángel Carvajal Bernal, who was Governor of Veracruz from 1948 to 1950. Carvajal Moreno became president of the PRI in 1979, replacing , where he stayed until Javier García Paniagua took the spot in 1981. The President of the Chamber of Deputies (Spanish: ''Presidente de la Cámara de Diputados'') is the presiding officer of the Chamber of Deputies of Mexico. This position is analogous to the Speaker of the House in other legislatures. The incumbent president is Sergio Gutiérrez Luna. The president is elected for a one-year term. The governor, according to the Political Constitution of the Free and Sovereign State of Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave in Mexico, the Executive Power is invested in one individual, called "''Constitutional Governor of the Free and Sovereign State of Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave''". The current governor is Cuitláhuac García Jiménez, who assumed the position on December 1, 2018. He is a member of the National Regeneration Movement. Term Governors are elected to serve for 6 years and they can not hold the title under any circumstance ever again.
