Gus Tambunting
Gustavo Alonzo Suarez Tambunting (born April 24, 1964) is a Filipino politician and businessman who currently serves as the representative for 2nd District of Parañaque since 2022. He also previously served in the same position from 2013 to 2019. He was also a councilor of the same city from 1988 to 1995 and again from 2001 to 2007. He was Vice Mayor of Parañaque from 2007 to 2013. Early life and education Gus Tambunting was born on April 24, 1964. He is the eldest child of Jesús Tambunting and Teresita Suárez de Tambunting, who is from Zamboanga City. He is also the eldest grandchild of Mila del Sol, the queen of Philippine cinema during the 1930s and 1940s. He is also the nephew of television host Jeanne Young and a cousin of actor Onemig Bondoc and guitarist Ira Cruz. Ira Cara Cruz is a Filipino musician, songwriter and producer. He was a founding member of Filipino rock bands Hijo, Bamboo, Introvoys, Passage and Kapatid. Professional background Introvoys (1987-1991, 2001) Introvoys was formed in 1986 by 3rd-G Cristobal, Paco Arespacochaga, and Jonathan Buencamino. Their first album was a "diamond in the rough". Edwin Olivarez
Edwin de Leon Olivarez (born August 14, 1963) is a Filipino politician, athlete, and businessman currently serving as a Member of the Philippine House of Representatives from Parañaque's 1st District since 2022 and previously from 2010 to 2013. He previously served as Mayor of Parañaque from 2013 to 2022, as well as the Metro Manila Council Chair and head of the Regional Peace and Order Council – National Capital Region in concurrent capacity. He also served as board member of Laguna before serving as Vice Governor of Laguna from 2004 to 2007. He unsuccessfully ran for Governor of Laguna in 2007.
