Guru Dhanapal
Guru Dhanapal (2 March 1960 – 18 April 2014) was an Indian film director, who worked in Tamil cinema, mostly with actor Sathyaraj. Career Guru Dhanapal made his directorial debut with ''Unna Nenachen Pattu Padichen'' (1992) starring Karthik (actor), Karthik, Rajani (actress), Sasikala, and Monisha Unni, Monisha in leading roles. In the 1990s, the director made a series of film starring Sathyaraj in the lead role, achieving box office success with ''Thai Maaman'' (1994) after which he made ''Maaman Magal (1995 film), Maaman Magal'' (1995) and ''Periya Manushan'' (1997). The three films were described as "routine comedy masala ventures" and were filmed in very quick schedules. In between he collaborated with Jayaram twice in ''Periya Idathu Mappillai'' (1997) and ''Raja Magal'', which did not release, as well as directing a portion of ''Suyamvaram'' (1999), which featured an ensemble cast of actors from the Tamil film industry. Coimbatore (Tamil: kōyamputtūr, ), also known as Kovai (), is one of the major Metropolitan cities of India, metropolitan cities in the States and union territories of India, Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Suyamvaram
''Suyamvaram'' () is a 1999 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film produced and co-written by Giridharilal Nagpal. The film is notable for its unique production process, in which 14 directors, 19 cinematographers, and over 30 prominent actors collaborated. Conceptualized by Nagpal, the film features an ensemble cast and was shot in a single day. Nagpal, who also wrote the story, brought together a diverse group of talent from the Tamil film industry for the project. ''Suyamvaram'' was later dubbed into Telugu as ''Pellante Idhera''. ''Aniyan Bava Chetan Bava'' () is a 1995 Indian Malayalam-language comedy-drama film directed by Rajasenan and written by Rafi Mecartin. It stars Jayaram, Narendra Prasad, Rajan P. Dev, Kasturi and Sangita. The movie was remade in Telugu as ''Subhamastu'' and in Tamil as ''Periya Idathu Mappillai'', the latter starring Jayaram himself in the lead role. It was the debut movie of K. T. S. Padannayil. Plot The film follows brothers Kuttan Bava/Chettan Bava and Kunjan Bava/Aniyan Bava, and their driver Premachandran, with whom the daughters of both the Bavas fall in love. The Indian Express
''The Indian Express'' is an English-language Indian daily newspaper founded in 1932 by P. Varadarajulu Naidu. It is headquartered in Noida, owned by the ''Indian Express Group''. It was later taken over by Ramnath Goenka. In 1999, eight years after Goenka's death in 1991, the group was split between the family members. The southern editions took the name '' The New Indian Express'', while the northern editions, based in Mumbai, retained the original ''Indian Express'' name with ''The'' prefixed to the title. ''Kalki'' is a Tamil-language weekly magazine published from Chennai, India. The magazine was established by Kalki Krishnamurthy, a popular Tamil novelist and Indian freedom fighter, in 1941. T Sadasivam was the magazine's co-founder. The magazine is known for its publication of historic novels such as '' Ponniyin Selvan'' and '' Sivagamiyin Sabadham''. Singer Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, guru of M S Subbulakshmi, and music critic S V Seshadri were also involved with the magazine in its coverage of music. Kalki Krishnamurthy also edited the magazine, which is published on a weekly basis. During his term the magazine was much more respected due to its quality.
