Guo Feng (musician)
Guo Feng (born 14 September 1962) is a Chinese songwriter and singer. He is considered a pioneer of original Chinese pop music. During the 1980s, when pop music in mainland China was still in its infancy and mainland pop singers mostly covered songs from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and from overseas, Guo Feng wrote a large number of popular original songs. In 1986, he organized a charity concert titled 'Let the World Be Filled with Love: The First Concert of 100 Stars', which marked a turning point for pop music in mainland China and ushered in a new era of development. The theme song of the concert, ', has been sung in numerous versions by various singers, bands, and civic organizations. Around 1990, he moved to Japan and later to Singapore, spending several years writing songs and doing musical arrangements for various singers, as well as for film and television productions in Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
