Gunnel André
Gunnel Margareta André (born August 6, 1946 in Örebro, Sweden) is a Swedish theologian, an ordained Lutheran minister in the Church of Sweden and an author. Biography After studying theology, psychology and music at North Park University, Chicago, she continued her studies in 1968 at the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Uppsala, Sweden and the Swedish Theological Institute in Jerusalem, Israel. In 1980 she received a PhD degree (Doctor of Theology, Faculty of Theology) in Old Testament Exegesis, and became an assistant professor. Gunnel André was one of the founders of the Student Union for students of religious studies and later of the Union of PhD students, of which she soon became president. Gunnel Gummeson (born 1930, declared dead ''in absentia'' 8 February 1977), was a Swedish school teacher, last seen travelling in northern Afghanistan with her American fiancé Peter Winant in 1956. The extensive investigations were hampered by official corruption and codes of loyalty to clan chiefs. None of the later sightings were confirmed, and the case of their disappearance has never been solved. Disappearance Gummeson was a teacher from Hultsfred in Småland who moved to Nora in Bergslagen when she was two years old. After having worked as a volunteer social worker in India, she decided to return to Sweden by land travel together with her boyfriend Peter Winant, who had previous experience in travelling in Afghanistan. Gunnel Märtha Ingegärd Lindblom (18 December 1931 – 24 January 2021) was a Swedish film actress and director. Career As an actress, Lindblom was particularly associated with the work of Ingmar Bergman, though in 1965 she performed the lead role in ''Miss Julie'' for BBC Television. Gunnel Pettersson, born 1960 in Malmö, is a Swedish artist who lives and works in Simrishamn and Malmö. Gunnel Pettersson was educated as a fine artist in textiles and sculpture at University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm (Konstfack), and also holds a degree in computer and video art from The Royal University College of Fine Arts. She has for many years played a key role in the Swedish art scene particularly in the areas of video and computer based art both as an artist, and arts organiser. Gunnel Vallquist (19 June 1918 – 11 January 2016) was a Swedish writer and translator. She was elected a member of the Swedish Academy. Vallquist wrote several essays on Catholic religion in contemporary times, and translated the seven-part novel ''In Search of Lost Time'' by Marcel Proust into Swedish.
