Gunnar Thorsteinsson
Gunnar Pétursson Thorsteinsson (26 June 1894 – 5 March 1921) was an Icelandic footballer. He is considered one of Iceland's first great footballers. Early life and family Gunnar was the son of the entrepreneur Pétur J. Thorsteinsson and Ásthildur Guðmundsdóttir. He grew up in Copenhagen and Reykjavík. Among Gunnar's siblings were footballers Friðþjófur Thorsteinsson and Samuel Thorsteinsson, Samúel Thorsteinsson and artist Muggur, Guðmundur "Muggur" Thorsteinsson. Gunnar joined Knattspyrnufélagið Fram, Fram in 1913, quickly becoming one of their best players. He was the Úrvalsdeild karla (football), Icelandic tournaments top goal scorer during the 1917 Úrvalsdeild, 1917 season. Death In the fall of 1919, Gunnar fell ill with pulmonary tuberculosis. Søllerød
Søllerød is a suburban district of Rudersdal Municipality in the northern outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark. The original village, one of the oldest in the area, is perched on Søllerød Hill on the south side of Søllerød Lake. It merged with the neighbouring village of Øverød to the north and the modern district of Holte to the southwest in the middle of the 20th century and now forms part of the Greater Copenhagen area. ''Morgunblaðið'' (, ''The Morning Paper'') is an Icelandic newspaper. ''Morgunblaðið''s website, mbl.is, is the most popular website in Iceland. History ''Morgunblaðið'' was founded by Vilhjálmur Finsen and Ólafur Björnsson, brother of Iceland's Sveinn Björnsson, first president. The first issue, only eight pages long, was published on 2 November 1913. On 25 February 1964, the paper first printed a caricature by Sigmúnd Jóhannsson which featured the first landings on Surtsey. He became a permanent cartoonist for ''Morgunblaðið'' in 1975 and worked there until October 2008. Nína Sæmundsson
Nína Sæmundsson or Nina Saemundsson, born as Jónína Sæmundsdóttir (22 August 1892 – 29 January 1965) was an Icelandic artist, known for her sculptures and paintings. She was active between the 1920s until the 1960s in Los Angeles, New York City, and Iceland. She worked as a New Deal artist within the Federal Art Project in the 1930s. About Jónína Sæmundsdóttir was born 22 August 1892 in the Fljótshlíð region in South Iceland, near Hvolsvöllur. She was raised on the farm ''Nikulásarhús'', but the family moved to the city of Reykjavík when she was a teenager. Saemundsson attended the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Charlottenborg Palace, studying under artists Julius Schultz and Einar Ultzon-Frank. Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease usually caused by '' Mycobacterium tuberculosis'' (MTB) bacteria. Tuberculosis generally affects the lungs, but it can also affect other parts of the body. Most infections show no symptoms, in which case it is known as latent tuberculosis. Around 10% of latent infections progress to active disease which, if left untreated, kill about half of those affected. Typical symptoms of active TB are chronic cough with blood-containing mucus, fever, night sweats, and weight loss.
