Gunnar Fatland
Gunnar Fatland (born 9 November 1946 in Kvinnherad) is a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Rogaland in 1985, and was re-elected on two occasions. On the local level Fatland was mayor of Strand during the term 1979–1983, and then became a member of the executive committee of Strand municipality council from 1983 to 1987. From 1983 to 1987 he was also a deputy member of Rogaland county council. Outside politics he mainly worked as a banker. Kvinnherad is a List of municipalities of Norway, municipality in Vestland county, Norway. Strand, Norway
Strand is a municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Ryfylke. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Jørpeland. The municipality lies across the fjord from the city of Stavanger. The Ryfast tunnel system connects Stavanger and Strand by a very long undersea tunnel. The villages of Sørskår and Fiskå are located in northern Strand, on the southern shore of the Årdalsfjorden. This area of Strand produces fruit, vegetables, and dairy products. The Fiskå Mølle (Fiskå Mill) is located in Fiskå. The larger village of Tau is located on the western coast of Strand. Tau is a village in Strand municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located on the shore of the Horgefjorden, a branch of the main Boknafjorden.
