Gunilla Ekberg
Gunilla Ekberg is a Swedish-Canadian lawyer. From 2002 to 2006, she was employed at the Ministry of Industry as the Swedish Government's expert on prostitution and trafficking in human beings. Education Ekberg's education includes a degree in social work from Lund University, and a law degree from the University of British Columbia in Canada. She took out Canadian citizenship in 2003. Career Ekberg is a strong opponent of prostitution, and an outspoken advocate for Sweden's approach to prostitution, in which the sex buyers are prosecuted, but the prostitutes are supported by the social services in an effort to move them out of the industry. In 2005, the program ''The Gender War'' criticized Ekberg for telling the reporter Evin Rubar that she could not expect help if she was assaulted, since she opposed the feminist movement. Newsmill
TV4 Newsmill was a Swedish website for "news commentary and debate". Debate was opened to the public on 3 September 2008. It was operated at that time by Peter Magnus Nilsson (CEO, editor and publisher), Leo Lagercrantz (Editorial Director) and Karen Eder Ekman, who had previously worked at Expressen and ''Aftonbladet''. Ekman has been succeeded by Sakine Madon and Annika Nordgren Christensen. Newsmill was owned by the Bonnier Group, a giant media conglomerate, Proventus, an investment group, Nelson and Lagercrantz. There are links to other mainstream media, since Bonnier also own Dagens Nyheter, Expressen and Résumé, which frequently comment on opinion articles in Newsmill. Anti-prostitution Feminists
There exists a diversity of feminist views on prostitution. Many of these positions can be loosely arranged into an overarching standpoint that is generally either critical or supportive of prostitution and sex work. The discourse surrounding prostitution is often discussed assuming sex workers are women, but those in the field of sex work and prostitution are not always women. Anti-prostitution feminists hold that prostitution is a form of exploitation of women and male dominance over women and a practice which is the result of the existing patriarchal societal order. CATW
The Coalition Against Trafficking in Women (CATW) is an international non-governmental organization opposing human trafficking, prostitution, and other forms of commercial sex. Views CATW is rooted in a feminist point of view. Its definition of "trafficking" includes all forms of prostitution of women or children. CATW opposes a distinction between "forced" and "voluntary" prostitution, as it sees all forms of prostitution as a violation of the dignity of women and violence against them. ''Off Our Backs'' (stylized in all lowercase; ''oob'') was an American radical feminist periodical that ran from 1970 to 2008. It began publishing on February 27, 1970, with a twelve-page tabloid first issue. From 2002 the editors adapted it into a bimonthly journal. ''Off Our Backs'' was edited and published by a collective of women who practiced consensus decision-making. Marilyn Salzman Webb, Heidi Steffens, Marlene Wicks, Colette Reid, and Norma Lesser formed the original ''Off Our Backs'' collective.
