Gungahlin Jets Australian Football and Netball Club is an Australian sports club based in Gungahlin, Australian Capital Territory. The Australian rules football squad competes in the AFL Canberra first grade competition. The club also supports and has teams in all age groups from Auskick & AuskickPro, through to senior level. The netball component of the club competes in all age levels from junior to senior (adult) in Netball Australian Capital Territory. History The Gungahlin Jets were established in 1981 and entered the Monaro AFL division 2 competition in 1982. The club won the MAFL division 2 premiership in their first season. In 2014, the Liberal government withdrew a $66,000 grant for infrastructure funding provided by the previous Labor government, sparking a controversy. AFL Canberra is the name of the local governing body for and premier competition of Australian rules football in the Australian Capital Territory (and the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales). The Tuggeranong Valley Football Club is a semi-professional, community based Australian rules football club based in Tuggeranong, Australian Capital Territory. They competed in the North East Australian Football League from 2011–13 and as of 2014 are a member club of the AFL Canberra First Grade competition. The Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) is a tri-service military academy that provides military and Tertiary education in Australia, academic education for junior officers of the Australian Defence Force in the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), Australian Army and Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as well as international trainee officers from a variety of countries. Jack Steele (born 13 December 1995) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the St Kilda Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He previously played for the Greater Western Sydney Giants from 2015 to 2016. Steele has won two Trevor Barker Awards and is a dual All-Australian team, All-Australian.
