Gumpu
"Gumpu" is the debut CD single, single by Salome Clausen, Salome, the winner of Switzerland, Swiss MusicStars 2005. Released in Switzerland on April 30, 2005, the song entered the Swiss charts on May 15 at number one. It stayed there for three weeks, outperforming artists such as Akon, Chipz, Snoop Dogg and Shakira. Despite the success of "Gumpu" and her debut album ''...Moji'', Salome has not been in the Swiss charts since, seemingly becoming a one-hit wonder. The version of "Gumpu" on the album is two seconds longer than the version on the CD single. Salome Clausen
Salome Clausen is a Switzerland, Swiss pop music musician, artist, best known for winning the 2005 second series of the music-based reality television show ''MusicStars''. Career Whilst part of ''MusicStars'', Clausen topped the singles chart twice, and be part of three album releases (all of which made the Swiss album top 20). After winning the show, Clausen spent three weeks at the top of the Swiss singles chart with "Gumpu", and saw her debut album ''...Moji'' peak at number two. Clausen has since fallen out of the spotlight, however, and , appears to be a one-hit wonder. In winning ''MusicStar'', Salome beat out competition from talents such as Daniel Kandlbauer and Claudia D'Addio, who have both also had success in their post-''MusicStar'' careers. Ch!pz is a Dutch pop music group that originated in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The group was formed in 2003, after several rounds of tryouts for Fox Kids. Career In the Netherlands, many radio stations wouldn't play Ch!pz's songs because most of the listeners found their songs too childish. However, thanks to promotions on Fox Kids, Ch!pz became one of the most well-known bands in the Netherlands.
