Gulomjon Abdullaev
Gulomjon Abdullaev (born 11 November 1998) is an Uzbekistani freestyle wrestler who competes at 57 kilograms. A 2016 Junior World Championship bronze medalist, Abdullaev qualified to represent Uzbekistan at the 2020 Summer Olympics after sweeping out the 2021 Asian Olympic Qualification Tournament. Career In 2022, he won the silver medal in his event at the Yasar Dogu Tournament held in Istanbul, Turkey. He won the gold medal in his event at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games held in Konya, Turkey. He competed in the 57kg event at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia. He also was a collegiate wrestler for Menlo College in California, USA, where he was a national champion winning 7–3 in the NAIA national championship match. Ivan Sergeyevich Yarygin ( rus, Иван Сергеевич Ярыгин, p=ɪˈvan sʲɪrˈɡʲe(j)ɪvʲɪtɕ jɪˈrɨɡʲɪn; 7 November 1948 – 11 October 1997) was a Soviet and Russian heavyweight freestyle wrestler. Between 1970 and 1980 he won all his major international competitions, except for the 1970 and 1974 European championships where he placed second. Yarygin was an Olympic champion in 1972 and 1976, being the first wrestler to go through an Olympic competition with straight pin victories and no foul points, a world champion in 1973, a World Cup winner five times, has never lost a single match in World Cup competition, and a European champion in 1972 and 1975–76, and won a world cup in 1973, 1976–77 and 1979–80. 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games
The 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games () were the 5th edition of the event held from 9 to 18 August 2022 at Konya, Turkey under the aegis of Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF). It was the first time in history that the event was organised by the Turkish Olympic Committee. Formerly scheduled to take place from 20 to 29 August 2021, the event was postponed to be held from 10 to 19 September 2021 in July 2020 by the ISSF because the original dates were coinciding with the 2020 Summer Olympics, which were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. NAIA Men's Wrestling Championship
The NAIA wrestling championship is the annual tournament to determine the national champions of NAIA men's collegiate wrestling in the United States and Canada. It has been held annually since 1958. The Menlo Oaks are the athletic teams that represent Menlo College, located in Atherton, California, in intercollegiate sports as a member of NCAA Division II and the Pacific West Conference (PacWest) since the 2024–25 academic year; while its men's & women's wrestling and men's volleyball teams compete in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF).
