Ángeles Gulín
Ángeles Gulín (14 February 1939 – 10 October 2002) was a Spanish operatic soprano particularly associated with early Verdi works. Life and career Born María de los Ángeles Gulín Domínguez in Ribadavia, Spain, she moved with her family at the age of eight to Montevideo, Uruguay, where she studied singing with her father, who became a local music director who organized concerts in parks. She made her operatic debut there in 1963, as the Queen of the Night in '' The Magic Flute'', as last minute replacement. She then returned to Europe where she sang mostly in Spain and Italy in roles such as Lucia in ''Lucia di Lammermoor'', Gilda in ''Rigoletto'' and Violetta in ''La traviata''. Eelis Gideon Gulin also known as Pinomaa or Gulin-Pinomaa (29 December 1893 - 4 August 1975) was Professor of New Testament at the University of Helsinki from 1933 to 1945 and Bishop of Tampere from 1945 to 1966. Biography Gulin was born on 29 December 1893 in Mikkeli, Grand Duchy of Finland in the Russian Empire, the son of Arthur Lorenz Pinomaa Gulin and Bertha Kristina Christina Sarlin. In 1915 he graduated with a bachelor's degree and commenced studies in Eastern languages, Greek, Latin and theoretical philosophy, after which he intended to begin researching the Old Testament. In 1918 he graduated in theology and earned a bachelor's degree one year later. He was ordained priest in January 1920. That same year he married Helmi Forsman. Lindsay Tyson Gulin (born November 22, 1976) is a former professional baseball pitcher. He has pitched in Nippon Professional Baseball and the Chinese Professional Baseball League. Minor league career Gulin was first drafted by the New York Mets on June 11, 1995 in the 16th round of the 1995 amateur draft. He began his career in the 1995 season with their Rookie League GCL Mets and Class A (Short Season) Pittsfield Mets. In 1996, he played for their Class A Capital City Bombers. He returned to the Bombers in 1997 before being promoted to the Class A-Advanced St. Lucie Mets. He started the 1998 season in St. Lucie before being traded to the Seattle Mariners organization.
