Gulf Coast Showcase
The Gulf Coast Showcase is a college basketball tournament that started in 2013 held at Hertz Arena in Estero, Florida. The men’s eight-team tournament, was designed to showcase the top mid-major programs from across the country. The women's tournament is held the week after the men's tournament, and showcases a mix of mid-major and top major programs. Until 2017 All games were streamed on ASunTV] until 2017. Flohoops.com received streaming rights on subscription service since the 2017 season. Hertz Arena
Hertz Arena is a 7,181-seat multi-purpose arena in Estero, Florida, which is located between Miromar Lakes, Florida and Bonita Springs, Florida. The arena opened in November 1998 and serves as the home of the Florida Everblades of the ECHL. History The arena was first named Everblades Arena in 1998 after the hockey team that plays there. TECO Energy was the first company to obtain the naming rights to the building, changing the name to TECO Arena. In 2004, TECO Energy decided they were no longer interested in holding the naming rights. Germain Motor Company bought the rights, and in 2004 the venue was renamed to Germain Arena. This same company, an automobile dealership with locations in Florida, Arkansas, and Ohio, also held the naming rights to the Germain Amphitheater in Columbus, Ohio. The 2021–22 UCLA Bruins women's basketball team represented the University of California, Los Angeles during the 2021–22 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The 2021–22 UMass Minutewomen basketball team represented the University of Massachusetts Amherst during the 2021–22 college basketball season. The Minutewomen, led by sixth-year head coach Tory Verdi, were members of the Atlantic 10 Conference and played their home games at the Mullins Center. They finished the season 26–7 overall, and 11–4 in A-10 play to finish in third place. As the third seed in the A-10 Tournament they received a bye into the Quarterfinals where they defeated Fordham.
