Gulam Kadir Navalar
Kulāmkātir̲u Nāvalar (1833–1908) was a Tamil poet. He was proficient in Tamil, Arabic and English. He wrote a wide range of literature, including poems, prose literature, three literary translations, two grammar books, and two other texts. His books were nationalized by the Tamil Nadu government in 2007. He composed many types of literature including Kappiyams, Kalambakams, Koivas, Anthadis, Malas, and text books. He was the first to bring the history of Nagor Nayak into a book (''Kanjul Karamathu''). One of his best students was Thiramalai Adigalar. Early life Ghulam Kathiru was born in 1833 to the affluent Tamil Rowther family in Nagore. His father was Ayurveda Bhaskara Panditha Vappu Rowther. Nagore
Nagore is a town in the Nagapattinam District, Tamil Nadu, India. It is located approximately 12 km South of Karaikal and 5 km North of Nagapattinam. Nearby towns are Karaikal, Tiruvarur, and Velankanni. It has a population of approximately 39,000. The prime attraction of the town is the Nagore Dargah Shareef. Rowther
The Rowther (anglicised as ''Irauttar'', ''Rawther, Ravuttar,'' ''Ravutta'', ''Ravuthar, Ravuthamar'') are a distinct Muslim community living largely in the south Indian states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. While some of them are partially descended from Turkic people who settled in the Chola kingdom for horse trading and cavalry roles, the majority descend from Native warrior clan populations who converted to Islam under the influence of saints like Nathar Shah (Nathar Wali) in 10th–11th centuries. Even after conversion they retained their ''Ravuttar'' caste name. they were one of the earliest Muslim communities in India. They were elite cavalrymen of the Chola and Pandya kingdoms. Ramanathapuram District
Ramanathapuram District, also known as Ramnad District, is one of the 38 administrative districts of Tamil Nadu state in southern India. The old Ramanathapuram District consists of Present day Virudhunagar and Sivagangai districts, it touches the Western ghats and bordered with the state of Kerala and east by Bay of Bengal. It was the largest district on that time. The town of Ramanathapuram is the district headquarters. Ramanthapuram District has an area of 4,123 km2. Tamil Muslims are Tamils who practise Islam. The community is 10 million in India, primarily in the state of Tamil Nadu where 90% of the Muslim community identified themselves as Tamil Muslims. In Tamil Nadu, the majority of Tamil-speaking Muslims belong to the Rowther, Rowthers Community while other Muslims live in coastal Tamil Nadu.
