Guillermo Castillo Reyes
César Guillermo Castillo Reyes (: born 17 March 1966) is a Guatemala, Guatemalan attorney and politician who served as the 17th vice president of Guatemala from 2020 to 2024. Castillo was Deputy Minister of Labor from January 2004 to May 2005. He also served as a member of the board of directors of the Bar Association and Notaries of Guatemala. In 2013, he was appointed executive director of the Chamber of Commerce of Guatemala, leaving office in 2018. Biography He was born in Huehuetenango, in western Guatemala, on March 17, 1966. He is the son of Enrique Castillo, originally from the municipality of Cuilco, and Reyna Reyes, from Santa Cruz Barillas, both municipalities within the Huehuetenango Department. Óscar José Rafael Berger Perdomo (; born 11 August 1946) is a Guatemalan businessman and politician who served as the 46th president of Guatemala from 2004 to 2008. The attorney general of Guatemala (''fiscal general de la República de Guatemala'') is the chief public prosecutor and head of the (Department of Justice) of Guatemala. According to article 251 of the Constitution of Guatemala, the attorney general is selected by the President of Guatemala, president from a pool of six candidates who must be lawyers and must have the same qualifications as the magistrates of the Supreme Court of Justice of Guatemala, Supreme Court.
