Guillaume Cailleau
Guillaume Cailleau (born 15 February 1978 in Saumur) is a French artist, filmmaker and producer whose interest lies in exploring new forms to address political and social issues. Biography From 2006 to 2011 Guillaume Cailleau studied at the Berlin University of the Arts and was a postgraduate student under Heinz Emigholz. Before his art studies he graduated as an engineer from Institut catholique d'arts et métiers, Icam in Nantes. He also worked as a cinema projectionist in Paris and Berlin. In 2007 Guillaume Cailleau shot his first short film ''Blitzkrieg'', which premiered at the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen. Other films followed, such as ''Through'', a reference to Michael Snow's installation ''Windowed Water'' (2007), the manually processed film ''H(I)J'' (2009), and ''Austerity Measures'' (2012), a collaboration with Ben Russell (filmmaker), Ben Russell shot in Athens. Saumur
Saumur () is a Communes of France, commune in the Maine-et-Loire Departments of France, department in western France. The town is located between the Loire and Thouet rivers, and is surrounded by the vineyards of Saumur itself, Chinon, Bourgueil, Coteaux du Layon, etc.. The Locarno International Film Festival is a major international film festival, held annually in Locarno, Switzerland. Ausland (customarily stylised in lowercase as ausland) is a concert venue and arts location in Berlin, Germany. The venue is well-known as a hub for experimental and improvised music, alongside many other styles, genres, and artistic approaches. Taking its title from the tactical protest strategy of the same name, the film is a modern portrait of one of the most important militant activist communities in France. It was selected in the Encounters at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival, where it had its world premiere on 21 February 2024, and won Encounters Golden Bear Plaque for Best Film. Documenta 14 was the fourteenth edition of the art exhibition documenta which took place in 2017 in both Kassel, Germany, its traditional home, and Athens, Greece. It was held first in Athens from 8 April to 16 July, and in Kassel from 10 June to 17 September 2017. As part of the concept of the artistic director Adam Szymczyk, the exhibition proceeded in both countries with most featured artists working at both locations. The documenta is a series of contemporary art exhibitions. Serralves is a cultural institution located in Porto, Portugal.
