Guiguinto
Guiguinto, officially the Municipality of Guiguinto (), is a municipality in the province of Bulacan, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 113,415 people. It is the birthplace of composer Constancio de Guzman, known for writing songs like "''Maalaala Mo Kaya''". It also houses the Immaculate Conception Seminary, a Diocesan Seminary of the Diocese of Malolos located in barangay Tabe. The appellation “Guiguinto” literally translates to “Gold” (''ginto'' for Tagalog, ''gintu'' for Kapampangan) for the early conquistadores came and saw this town on a harvest season when it lushes in golden rice stalks against the sun. Maalaala Mo Kaya (song)
"Maalaala Mo Kaya" (original title in Spanish: "Dulce princesa") is a song written by Filipino composer Constancio De Guzman. It was covered by singers such as the New Minstrels, Pilita Corrales, Eva Eugenio, Leo Valdez, Diomedes Maturan and Ryan Cayabyab. Though the song was originally written in Spanish, famed Filipino author Guillermo Gómez Rivera is the only artist to record the song in Spanish under the title "Dulce princesa" for his 1960 LP album ''Nostalgia Filipina''. A cover version by Dulce has been featured by the television drama anthology of the same name.
