Guayo Cedeño
Ramón Eduardo "Guayo" Cedeño (7 January 1974 – 11 March 2022) was a Honduran musician and producer from La Ceiba, Honduras. He worked with many Garifuna music stars, including Andy Palacio & The Garifuna Collective and Aurelio Martinez, as well as performing at jazz festivals with his band or in his jazz-rock trio. After a career as a sideman, his first solo album was released in the spring of 2015. His trio performed with Aurelio Martinez at WOMEX, World Music Expo in 2014. In 2014, Cedeño collaborated with COPILOT Music and Sound on a cover of Carlinhos Brown's "Maria Caipirnha (Samba da Bahia)”. The arrangement represented the musical instrumentation and styles of Honduras for Visa Inc., Visa's "Samba of the World", a digital campaign for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. La Ceiba
La Ceiba () is a municipality, the capital of the Honduran department of Atlántida and a port city on the northern coast of Honduras in Central America. It is located on the southern edge of the Caribbean, forming part of the south eastern boundary of the Gulf of Honduras. With an estimated population of 199,080 living in approximately 170 residential areas (called ''colonias'' or ''barrios''), it is the fourth most populous and third most important city in the country. Antônio Carlos Santos de Freitas, known professionally as Carlinhos Brown (Brazilian Portuguese: /kaʁˈlĩɲus bɾaw̃, -iɲuʃ/, 23 November 1962), is a Brazilian singer, percussionist, and record producer from Salvador, Bahia. His musical style blends funk, latin music, R&B, soul music, reggae, and traditional Brazilian percussion.
