Guaynabo Mets
The Guaynabo Mets are a Puerto Rican professional basketball team based in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, competing in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN), the island's premier basketball league, as part of its East Division. Originally founded in 1935 as the Cangrejeros de Santurce (basketball), Cangrejeros of Santurce, the franchise relocated to Guaynabo in 1976, adopting the ''Mets'' moniker due to the city's metropolitan location. The Mets play their home games at Mario Morales Coliseum, named after Mets legend Mario Morales, Mario "Quijote" Morales a legendary player who guided the Mets to three BSN championships in the 1980s (1980, 1982, and 1989). Baloncesto Superior Nacional
The Baloncesto Superior Nacional, abbreviated as BSN, is the first-tier-level professional men's basketball list of basketball leagues, league in Puerto Rico. It was founded in 1929 and is organized by the Puerto Rican Basketball Federation. The Baloncesto Superior Nacional, which is played under FIBA rules of basketball, rules, currently consists of 12 teams, of which the most successful has been the Vaqueros de Bayamón with 16 titles as of 2022. Ricardo Dalmau Santana (born August 27, 1977, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico) is the youngest of three children of the legendary basketball player Raymond Dalmau. Ismael Romero Fernández (born June 23, 1991) is a Cuban-Puerto Rican professional basketball player who plays for the Mets de Guaynabo of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN), and the Puerto Rican national team. Walter Wallace Hodge Muñoz (born September 21, 1986) is a Puerto Rican- U.S. Virgin Islander professional basketball player for the Cangrejeros de Santurce of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). The Capitanes de Arecibo are a Puerto Rican professional basketball team based in Arecibo that competes in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) league. In 2010, the team also had the distinction to play in the Premier Basketball League (PBL) under the name Capitanes de Puerto Rico. The team began play in the league in 1946.
