Guana Island
Guana Island is an island of the British Virgin Islands (BVI) in the Caribbean. One of the few remaining privately owned islands in its part of the world, Guana has seven white powder-sand beaches and of tropical forest, mountains, hills, and valleys. The island is mostly natural preserve and has a small resort. History In the 18th century, two Religious Society of Friends, Quaker families came to Guana as part of what was called "History of the British Virgin Islands#Quaker settlement, the Quaker Experiment" which lasted for about forty-five years in the BVI. They used Atlantic slave trade, African slaves and cultivated sugar cane. When they were recalled to the United States and England, they left behind two cannons still on Guana today. Guiana Island (or Guana Island) is an island off the northeast coast of Antigua, between the Parham Peninsula and Crump Island. Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve
In 1999, the Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve (GTM Research Reserve) was designated in St. Johns County, Florida, St. Johns and Flagler County, Florida, Flagler counties, Florida as a part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Estuarine Research Reserve (NERR) system. The GTM Research Reserve represents the east Florida sub-region of the Carolinian bioregion. It is one of 30 NERRs in 23 states and one territory. GTM is one of three NERRs in Florida and is administered on behalf of the state by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Florida Coastal Office as part of a network that includes forty-one aquatic preserves, three NERRs, a National Marine Sanctuary, the Coral Reef Conservation Program and the Florida Oceans and Coastal Council. Roberto Guana
Roberto Guana (born 21 January 1981) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Roberto started his career at Brescia Calcio. He played his first Serie A match on 4 February 2001 against A.S. Bari. In March 2005 Guana and Daniele Adani announced they would leave the club after receiving threats by Brescia fans. Both players successively joined newly promoted Serie A side Ascoli, with whom Guana appeared in a total 30 games. His good appearances with Ascoli led Palermo to acquire the player in May 2006, for €3.5 million, as one of the first signings of the new season for the Sicilians, along with Francesco Parravicini and Alberto Fontana.
