Guan (bird)
The guans are a number of bird genus, genera which make up the largest group in the family (biology), family Cracidae. They are found mainly in northern South America, southern Central America, and a few adjacent Caribbean islands. There is also the peculiar horned guan (''Oreophasis derbianus'') which is not a true guan, but a very distinct and ancient cracid with no close living relatives (Pereira ''et al.'' 2002). Guan District
Guan District is one of the nine districts in Oti Region, Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988 when it was known as Hohoe District (within Volta Region Volta Region (or Volta) is one of Ghana's sixteen administrative regions, with Ho designated as its capital. Kwon also written as Gwon ( ) is a Korean family name. Some sources list as many as 56 clans, but most of them were merged with the Andong Gwon clan under the Sijeung-gong faction soon after the establishment of the Goryeo Kingdom. Andong Kwon clan The founder of Andong Kwon clan, Kim Haeng (金幸), was originally a royalty of the Silla Gyeongju Kim clan. Dujiangyan () is a county-level city of Sichuan Province, Southwest China, it is under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Chengdu. Guan is one of the constituencies represented in the parliament of Ghana. It elects one member of parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. Fred Kwesi Agbenyo is the member of parliament for the constituency. Guan is located in the Oti Region of Ghana. Boundaries The constituency is within the Guan District. To the north is the Buem in the Jasikan District. On the west of the constituency is the Biakoye constituency in the Biakoye District. The Hohoe constituency in the Volta Region is to the south. Oti Region
The Oti Region is one of the six newly created regions of Ghana in December 2018. The region was carved out of the Volta Region and will be in fulfillment of a campaign promise made by New Patriotic Party. Prior to the 2016 Ghanaian general election, the then candidate Nana Akufo-Addo declared that when elected, he would explore the possibility of creating new regions out of some of the existing regions in Ghana in order to bring government closer to citizens. The region was inaugurated on May 14, 2019. It has Dambai as its regional capital.
