Grosvenor Centre
The Grosvenor Centre is a shopping centre in the town centre of Northampton, England. Work started in 1972 and the building opened in 1976. The two-level centre is located adjacent to Market Square, and is owned by Evolve Estates, after purchasing the centre from Legal & General in 2022 for an undisclosed sum. In 2014 it underwent a £3 million refurbishment. Location The Grosvenor Centre is located on the site of a previous medieval monastery in the centre of Northampton. The centre is linked to both the Market Square and Abington Street. It has its own multi-storey car park and was formerly connected to the Greyfriars bus station. The North Gate bus station is just west of the shopping centre. Northampton
Northampton ( ) is a town and civil parish in Northamptonshire, England. It is the county town of Northamptonshire and the administrative centre of the Unitary authorities of England, unitary authority of West Northamptonshire. The town is situated on the River Nene, north-west of London and south-east of Birmingham. Greyfriars Bus Station
Greyfriars bus station was a bus station which formerly served the town of Northampton, England. It was owned and managed by Northampton Borough Council. The station was situated in Northampton town centre between Greyfriars (street) and Lady's Lane. Access was available from the Grosvenor Shopping Centre, The Mounts and Sheep Street. Entry from street level was via a pedestrian subway, with the bus stands accessible via an escalator or lift. North Gate Bus Station
North Gate bus station is the bus station which serves the town of Northampton in England. Northampton railway station is approximately 0.9 km away. The building on Bradshaw Street opened on 2 March 2014 on the site of the town's former Fishmarket. The new station was built to replace the previous Greyfriars bus station, which dated from 1976. History Planning permission for the £7 million project to create a new bus interchange in Northampton was granted in August 2012. Demolition work on the former Fishmarket building began in December 2012, so that work could start on the new bus interchange. The Fishmarket was completely demolished by March 2013.
