Ashland is a city in Jackson County, Oregon, United States. It lies along Interstate 5 in Oregon, Interstate 5 approximately 16 miles (26 km) north of the California border and near the south end of the Rogue Valley. Bear Creek is the name of a stream located entirely within Jackson County, Oregon. The stream drains approximately of the Rogue Valley and discharges an annual average of into the Rogue River. It begins near Emigrant Lake and travels through the municipalities of Ashland, Talent, Phoenix, Medford, and Central Point. The Cascade Range or Cascades is a major mountain range of western North America, extending from southern British Columbia through Washington (state), Washington and Oregon to Northern California.
