Gripin Albums
Gripin is a Turkish rock band based in Istanbul. The members are Birol NamoÄŸlu (vocals), Murat BaÅŸdoÄŸan (guitar), Arda İnceoÄŸlu (bass guitar), and İlker Baliç (drums). The band's name is derived from a flu medicine brand in Turkey. The beginning They started as a cover band, playing in bars like ''Bronx'' in mid-'90s, and earned a cult following. Their wide repertoire not only included Britpop, but also featured examples of American alternative rock and in some cases, Turkish rock. The band started off together in 1999 playing mostly cover tracks in Turkish bars and clubs. Soon, they managed to establish themselves as a name behind the music they covered. Hikayeler Anlatıldı In the early 2000s, they started recording their own songs and released the album Hikayeler Anlatıldı (''Stories were Told'') in 2004, which was later released as a double album containing acoustic versions of the album's songs. MTV Türkiye was a Turkish pay-television channel owned by Paramount. It launched on October 23, 2006. History Launch MTV Türkiye's opening party was held on 17 November 2006 in Istanbul, with a Pussycat Dolls performance. It was officially launched on October 23, 2006. Kanal D (English: Channel D) is a nationwide television channel in Turkey that is part of Demirören Group. It was founded by Ayhan Şahenk and Aydın Doğan in 1993. The network has also run an international channel, Euro D, since 1996, which is available online, and had the first high definition channel in Turkey, Kanal D HD. The text 'KANAL D' is not displayed in its Turkish broadcast. Only the blue earth section of the logo is displayed throughout commercial sections.Turkish Radio Law requires TV broadcasters have distinct logos during regular content and commercials. Kocaeli University ( Turkish: Kocaeli Üniversitesi) is a state university in İzmit, Turkey. It was founded as the Academy of Engineering and Architecture of Kocaeli in 1976. The electrical and mechanical engineering departments, basic sciences, and department of modern languages were the original departments of the academy.
