Griffin McMaster (born 2 June 1983) is an Australian footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for FC Bulleen Lions in the National Premier Leagues Victoria. Club career McMaster started playing for the Palm Beach Sharks and Surfers Paradise before moving to the Queensland Lions. In 2005, the A-League was formed and Queensland Roar (now Brisbane Roar) were given a license to be a part of the new 8-team competition. Sir Griffin Markham (d. aft. 1644) was an English soldier. Life Griffin Markham was the son of Thomas Markham (1530–1607) and of Mary Griffin (1540-ca.1633) of Ollerton, Nottinghamshire. He likely converted to Roman Catholicism early in his life, under the influence of his mother. On 29 May 1592, he married Anne Roos. Robert Devereux, 2nd Earl of Essex, knighted him in 1591 at the siege of Rouen. During the Nine Years War in Ireland (1594–1603) he commanded the cavalry under Sir Conyers Clifford, and his opportune arrival and counter-charge after the defeat of the infantry at the Battle of Curlew Pass (1599) saved the army from complete disaster. He serves as a councilman and the mayor pro-tem in Darien, Georgia. He also manages the Geechee Gullah Ring Shouters. Griffin House (born April 21, 1980) was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio. His father worked in a tire shop and his mother helped place children with foster families. In high school, the athletically gifted House landed a role in a musical and was surprised to learn that he had a natural talent for singing. Griffin or Griffith Higgs (1589–1659) was an English churchman, the dean of Lichfield from 1638. Life Higgs was born at South Stoke, Oxfordshire, the second son of Griffith Higgs by Sarah, daughter of Robert Paine of Caversham in the same county.
