Grey Eagle Village Hall
The Grey Eagle Village Hall is a multipurpose municipal building in Grey Eagle, Minnesota, United States. It was built in 1934 as a federally funded New Deal project to create jobs during the Great Depression. It originally contained local government offices, a fire station, and a community auditorium. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985 for having local significance in the themes of architecture and politics/government. It was nominated for being a superlative example of the public works projects of the Civil Works Administration. Description The Grey Eagle Village Hall is a rectangular, two-story building measuring about wide and long. The walls are uncoursed, undressed fieldstone. This contrasts with the smooth, cast concrete trim used for window surrounds, quoins, a belt course, and the projecting main entry. Grey Eagle is a city in Todd County, Minnesota, Todd County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 348 at the 2010 United States Census, 2010 census. By the 2020 Decennial Census the population had declined to 330. History Grey Eagle was platted in 1882, and named after an early settler, A.M. Crowell, who had shot an eagle near the original town site. The first post office opened in the town of Grey Eagle, which is sections 7 and 8 of the township, in 1877.
