Gregory Deighan
Gregory "Greg" J. Deighan (born 15 October 1939) was the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island, Canada. He was a member of the Progressive Conservative Party, representing the Wilmot-Summerside electoral district. In May 2000, Deighan was appointed to the Executive Council of Prince Edward Island as Minister of Tourism. In August 2002, Deighan was moved to Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture. The Executive Council of Prince Edward Island (informally and more commonly, the Cabinet of Prince Edward Island) is the cabinet of that Canadian province. Almost always made up of members of the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island, the Cabinet is similar in structure and role to the Cabinet of Canada while being smaller in size. The paper was originally launched in the 1870s as ''The Presbyterian and Evangelical Protestant Union'', owned by Presbyterianism, Presbyterian minister Stephen G. Lawson. 2007 Prince Edward Island General Election
The 2007 Prince Edward Island general election was held on May 28, 2007. It elected members of the Legislative Assembly of the province of Prince Edward Island, Canada. The incumbent Progressive Conservative government was defeated by the Liberal opposition after holding power for eleven years. The newly formed Green Party captured 3.04% of the vote or 4.44% in ridings they contested, beating out the New Democratic Party for third place. Mildred Dover
Mildred Alice Dover (born 12 April 1941) is a former educator and Canadian politician, who was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island from 1996 to 2007. A native of Fanningbrook, Prince Edward Island, she represented the electoral district of Tracadie-Fort Augustus and was a member of the Progressive Conservative Party.
