Norman Quentin Cook (born Quentin Leo Cook, 31 July 1963), also known as Fatboy Slim, is an English musician and DJ who helped popularise the big beat genre in the 1990s. His music makes extensive use of Sampling (music), samples from eclectic genres, combined with pop structures, processed rhythms and "sloganistic" vocals. In the 1980s, Cook was the bassist for the indie rock band the Housemartins, who achieved a UK number-one single with their cover of "Caravan of Love". After the Housemartins split, Cook moved to Brighton to pursue dance music. Lucas Cornelis van Scheppingen (born 22 October 1976), better known under his stage name Laidback Luke, is a Filipino-born Dutch DJ and record producer. Kaoma
Kaoma was a French-Brazilian band formed around 1989 by French producers Jean Georgakarakos and Olivier Lorsac to promote the song "Lambada (song), Lambada". Loalwa Braz was hired to sing lead vocals, other musicians were Chyco Dru (bass), Jacky Arconte (guitar), Jean-Claude Bonaventure (keyboard), Michel Abihssira (drums and percussion) and Fania (backing vocals). "Lambada", also known as "Chorando Se Foi (Lambada)", or "Llorando Se Fue (Lambada)" (both meaning "crying, they went away" in Portuguese and Spanish, respectively), is a song by French-Brazilian pop group Kaoma. It features guest vocals by Brazilian vocalist Loalwa Braz and was released as the first single from Kaoma's 1989 debut album, ''Worldbeat''. The accompanying music video, filmed in June 1989 in Cocos beach in the city of Trancoso, in the Brazilian state of Bahia, featured the Brazilian child duo Chico & Roberta. Sidney Samson
Sidney V. Samson (born 2 October 1981) is a Dutch DJ and music producer. He is best known for his track " Riverside", which was released in 2009. Career Samson started DJing at the age of 13, focusing on hip hop music before working seriously on house music from 1999. Clyde Sergio Narain (born 25 June 1978), known professionally as Chuckie, is a Surinamese-born Dutch DJ, rapper and producer. Chuckie was born in Paramaribo, Suriname.
