Gregor Rozumovsky, also known as Hryhorii Rozumovskyi (, ; born 3 March 1965, Giessen, Germany) is an Austrian historian, political, public and cultural figure of Ukrainian descent, count. President of the Club for European Understanding and Communication in Vienna (2020), honorary member of the Galician Music Society (2020). Head of the Razumovsky family (26 July 2002). A direct descendant of Hetman Kyrylo Rozumovskyi, a Ukrainian monarch and duke,the last ruler of Ukraine before the annexation by the Russian Empire. Biography Gregor Razumovsky was born on 3 March 1965 in Giessen (Germany) to Count Andreas Razumovsky (1929–2002) and Countess Dorothea Razumovska, Princess Solms-Hogenzolms-Lich (1935–2014). In 1985–1987 he served in the Armed Forces of Germany. In 1991, he visited Ukraine for the first time. Giessen
Giessen, spelled in German (), is a town in the Germany, German States of Germany, state () of Hesse, capital of both the Giessen (district), district of Giessen and the Giessen (region), administrative region of Giessen. The population is approximately 90,000, with roughly 37,000 university students. The name comes from ''Giezzen'', as it was first referred to in 1197, which refers to the position of the town between several rivers, lakes and streams. Baturyn
Baturyn (, ) is a historic city in Chernihiv Oblast (province) of northern Ukraine. It is located in Nizhyn Raion (district) on the banks of the Seym River. It hosts the administration of Baturyn urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: Baturyn is twinned with Cobham, a Kent parish in the south east of the United Kingdom. The twinning agreement was signed in a virtual ceremony on 11th March 2025. History Traces of a settlement dating back to the 9th–10th centuries and a fortified hilltop stronghold dating back to the 11th–13th centuries have been found at the Baturyn site. This fortified settlement was destroyed as a result of the Mongol invasion of 1239.
