Bob Dwyer
Bob Dwyer AM (born 29 November 1940) is an Australian rugby union coach. Early life Educated at Sydney Boys High School, from which he graduated in 1957, Dwyer played 2nd XV rugby for the school, lining up alongside former Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks player George Taylforth and St. George Dragons halfback George Evans. Career Dwyer coached Sydney club Randwick to four Sydney championship wins before becoming Australia's national team coach. He coached Australia from 1982–83, and again from 1988-95. He coached Australia to victory at the 1991 Rugby World Cup. Dwyer moved to Leicester Tigers after the game turned professional in 1996 and replaced Tony Russ. Tigers had immediate success, in 1997 reaching the Heineken Cup final and winning the Pilkington Cup, but finished fourth in the league. Rod Macqueen
Roderick Ian Macqueen, AM is an Australian former rugby union coach. He coached Australia at the Rugby World Cup, and the Waratahs, Brumbies and Rebels in the Super Rugby competition. Career One of Macqueen's first major coaching positions was at the Waratahs, where he was present from 1991 to 1992. In 1992 he was also a selector for the Australian team. He went on to coach the Australian XV in 1995 and again acted as a selector 1994–95. Following the inception of Super 12, Macqueen became the coach of the Brumbies. Macqueen was appointed the head coach of the Wallabies in September 1997, and would coach them until 2001. He led the Wallabies to victory at the 1999 Rugby World Cup in Wales, where they defeated France in the final, becoming the first nation to ever win the World Cup twice. Brad Johnstone
Bradley Ronald Johnstone (born 30 July 1950) is a New Zealand rugby union administrator and former player who is currently the president of the North Shore Rugby Football Club. He played as a prop He first played for Auckland, in 1971, and went on to play 122 matches for them including captaining them between 1977 and 1981. Johnstone had 13 caps for New Zealand, from 1976 to 1979, scoring 2 tries, 8 points in aggregate. During the 1978 New Zealand rugby union tour of Britain and Ireland, he completed a "Grand Slam" with the four Home Nations. He attended Takapuna Grammar where he played in the first XV in 1965/66. In 1971, as a fresh-faced 20-year-old, Johnstone debuted as a loose-head prop for Auckland. Just one year later, he was in the New Zealand Junior team. Fiji National Rugby Union Team
The Fiji national rugby union team represents Fiji in men's international rugby union. Fiji competed in the Pacific Tri-Nations and now competes in its successor tournament Pacific Nations Cup. Fiji also regularly plays test matches during the June and November test windows. They have beaten the major rugby playing sides of Wales, Scotland, Australia, France, Italy, Argentina and England. The only major sides Fiji are yet to beat are New Zealand, South Africa and Ireland. The "Flying Fijians" as they are nicknamed compete every four years at the Rugby World Cup. Their best performances were the 1987, 2007 and 2023 tournaments when they defeated Argentina, Wales and Australia respectively to reach the quarterfinals. Ifereimi Tawake (born 21 September 1962 in Sigatoka) is a Fijian former rugby union footballer and coach of Sacramento Mountain Lions. He played as flanker and lock. Career His first cap for Fiji was against Wales, at Suva, on 31 May 1986. Although having not taking part at the 1987 Rugby World Cup, he took part to the 1991 and 1999 World Cups, where in the former, he played 3 matches, while in the latter, he played 2 matches. He retired from the international career after the pool stage match against England at Twickenham on 20 October 1999.
