Greens Farms, Connecticut
Green's Farms is the oldest neighborhood in the town of Westport in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It was first listed as a census-designated place at the 2020 census. Geography Boundary The boundaries of the neighborhood, like those of most neighborhoods with no governmental status, are vague, but according to a ''New York Times'' article in 2001, "generally, a resident can confidently claim a Green's Farms address if the property lies within the area bounded by Hillspoint Road, the Fairfield town line and the Post Road". A golf course is the grounds on which the sport of golf is played. It consists of a series of holes, each consisting of a tee box, a fairway, the rough and other hazards, and a green with a cylindrical hole in the ground, known as a "cup". Baywood Greens is a public golf club located in Long Neck, Delaware that is consistently rated as one of the very best in the state. Bentleigh Greens Soccer Club is an Australian semi professional soccer club based in Cheltenham, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria. The club was formed in 1986, by the Greek Cypriot community and currently competes in the Victoria Premier League 1. Doorstep Greens
Doorstep Greens are locally owned and run public spaces across England. They were first created by the Countryside Agency (CA) in a project started in April 2001, providing grants of £10,000 to £150,000 to English communities, with a target of 200 communities total. The majority of the funding came from the New Opportunities Fund which later became the Big Lottery Fund although the Countryside Agency did input staff and some of its own resources. The Agency set out to find green spaces which could be organised into relatively small parks and then create a local charitable trust to own, fundraise for, and run each space in perpetuity. This followed from the completion of the CA's Millennium Green scheme, which created similar areas to celebrate the turn of the millennium from 1996-2000. Millennium Green
Millennium Greens are areas of green space for the benefit of local communities in England. 245 were created in cities, towns and villages to celebrate the turn of the millennium. Their creation was funded in part by the National Lottery via the Countryside Agency. Each one is different, as local people have had an input into the design of their green. The project to create 250 Millennium Greens started in 1996 and ended when the last green was handed over to its own local charitable trust in perpetuity. Greens Pool
Greens Pool is a sandy white beach with boulders on the south coast of Western Australia between Denmark and Walpole. This sheltered area is part of William Bay National Park and has a sandy white beach ringed by large granite boulders that prevent the swell of the Southern Ocean reaching the shoreline. The pool is roughly long from east to west and at its widest point from the beach to the protective rocks. Early settlers of the region used the beach location for outings and picnics. The area has a car park, viewing platform and toilet facility with a reasonably steep sandy path down to the beach. The granitic rocks along much of the south coast formed 1.5 billion years ago, placing them among some of the oldest rocks in the world.
