Greendale, New South Wales
Greendale is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. History Greendale was originally home to the Mulgoa tribe of the Darug people. The first British explorer to visit the area was botanist George Caley in 1800. A number of land grants were made in the area in 1811, one of which was to a Mary Birch who named her property ''Greendale''. Another 1811 grant was made to Ellis Bent who was the colony's judge-advocate. Bents Basin, a recreational area on the Nepean River at Greendale is named after him. The land was mainly used for wheat farming until 1861 when Wheat leaf rust, wheat rust infected the entire crop. The local farmers tried other crops unsuccessfully and gradually moved to other pastoral areas, effectively killing off the town that had grown up in the area. Greendale High School
Greendale High School is a four-year public high school in Greendale, Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukee. Part of the Greendale School District, it serves students in grades 9 through 12. Extracurricular activities The Greendale High School marching band has been the Class AA State Champion for 18 consecutive years, from 2005 to 2023, and was selected to participate in the 2016 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City as well as the 2020 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, CA. ''Greendale'' is the 27th studio album by Neil Young. Young and Crazy Horse's ''Greendale'' is a 10-song musical novel set in a fictional California seaside town of the same name. Based on the saga of the Green family, ''Greendale'' combines numerous themes on corruption, observation of the passing of time, environmentalism and mass media consolidation. Recording and writing Young recorded the album between July and September 2002 at his Broken Arrow Ranch. The sessions were produced by Young and filmmaker L.A. Johnson. The sessions feature Young on guitar, organ and harmonica backed only by drummer Ralph Molina and bassist Billy Talbot of longtime collaborators Crazy Horse. Greendale is an affluent suburb in eastern Harare, Zimbabwe, noted for its residents of Shona and Indian descent. The Greendale Mall was an enclosed shopping mall located near the intersection of Interstates 290 and 190 in Worcester, Massachusetts, United States. The anchors were Best Buy, Big Lots, DSW, and a combination of TJ Maxx and HomeGoods. History The mall first opened in 1987, anchored by Lechmere and Marshalls stores.
