Green Lantern Vs. Aliens
''Green Lantern versus Aliens'' is a four-issue comic book intercompany crossover mini-series published jointly by DC Comics and Dark Horse Comics monthly from September to December 2000. It is written by Ron Marz and illustrated by penciller Rick Leonardi and inker Mike Perkins, with covers by Dwayne Turner. In 2001, the series was collected into a single volume with a new cover by artist Eric Kohler. The series stars several Green Lanterns, primarily Kyle Rayner, and the titular xenomorphs from the '' Alien'' films. The story is apparently outside of DC Comics Universe canon, as Brik and Salaak are alive in current Green Lantern continuity; the series is set sometime after the destruction of the original Green Lantern Corps. Harold "Hal" Jordan, one of the characters known as Green Lantern, is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created in 1959 by writer John Broome (writer), John Broome and artist Gil Kane, and first appeared in ''Showcase (comics), Showcase'' #22 (October 1959). Hal Jordan is a reinvention of the previous Green Lantern, who appeared in 1940s comic books as the character Alan Scott. Gynoid
A gynoid, or fembot, is a feminine humanoid robot. Gynoids appear widely in science fiction films and arts. As more realistic humanoid robot design becomes technologically possible, they are also emerging in real-life robot design. Just like any other robot, the main parts of a gynoid include sensors, actuators and a control system. Sensors are responsible for detecting the changes in the environment while the actuators, also called effectors, are motors and other components responsible for the movement and control of the robot. The control system instructs the robot on what to do so as to achieve the desired results. Name A gynoid is anything that resembles or pertains to the female human form. Though the term '' android'' has been used to refer to robotic humanoids regardless of apparent gender, the Greek prefix "andr-" refers to ''man'' in the masculine sense.
