Green Apple Festival
The Green Apple Festival is America's largest Earth Day Celebration, raising local and environmental awareness, educating individuals on environmental issues, hosting cultural events. Green Apple Festival was founded by Peter Shapiro and Zenbu Media. It is produced in partnership with Earth Day Network (EDN), a non-profit organization created by the original founders of Earth Day in 1970. The Executive Director is Kathryn Stoddard. 2008 Once the world's largest Earth Day celebration, it has been inactive since 2009. Green Apple Festival took place in New York City, Washington DC, Miami, Chicago, Denver, Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Earth Day
Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First held on April 22, 1970, it now includes a wide range of events coordinated globally by EarthDay.org (formerly Earth Day Network) including 1 billion people in more than 193 countries. The official theme for 2022 is Invest In Our Planet. In 1969 at a UNESCO Conference in San Francisco, peace activist John McConnell proposed a day to honor the Earth and the concept of peace, to first be observed on March 21, 1970, the first day of spring in the northern hemisphere. This day of nature's equipoise was later sanctioned in a proclamation written by McConnell and signed by Secretary General U Thant at the United Nations. Ziegfeld Theatre (1969)
The Ziegfeld Theatre was a single-screen movie theater located at 141 West 54th Street in midtown Manhattan in New York City. It opened in 1969 and closed in 2016. The theater was named in honor of the original Ziegfeld Theatre (1927–1966) which was built by the impresario Florenz Ziegfeld Jr. History On December 17, 1969, a few hundred feet from the site of the original Ziegfeld Theatre, a new Ziegfeld opened as a single-screen movie house with the New York premiere of '' Marooned''. Guster is an American alternative rock band from Boston, Massachusetts, United States.
