Greek Basket League Hall Of Fame
The Greek Basketball League Hall of Fame, or Hellenic Basketball Association (HEBA) Hall of Fame (), is a Hall of Fame (HOF) that recognizes and honors the best basketball players and head coaches in the history of Greece's top-tier level professional club league, the Greek Basketball League (GBL). Players and head coaches are nominated for the honor, by the governing body of the Greek Basketball League, the Hellenic Basketball Association (HEBA). The hall's inaugural class, was inducted on 18 December 2022. History The Greek Basketball League Hall of Fame's first class was inducted in a ceremony that took place at the Nikos Galis OAKA Indoor Hall, in Marousi, Athens, in December 2022. It took place during the 2022 HEBA Greek All-Star Game weekend. The hall's first class included a total of thirty players and three head coaches. Dejan Bodiroga
Dejan Bodiroga ( sr-Cyrl, Дејан Бодирога; born 2 March 1973) is a Serbian basketball executive and former professional player, who is currently the president of EuroLeague Basketball. In 1998 and 2002, he received the Golden Badge award for the best athlete of Yugoslavia, and the Yugoslav Olympic Committee also declared him the Sportsman of the Year. He was named to the FIBA All-Time EuroStars Team in 2007. In 2018, he was named one of the 101 Greats of European Basketball. Evangelos Koronios, most commonly known as Angelos Koronios (alternate spelling: Aggelos, Greek: Ευάγγελος "Άγγελος" Κορωνιός; born 16 March 1969), is a Greek former professional basketball player and coach. Panagiotis "Notis" Giannakis (, ; born January 1, 1959), alternatively spelled Panayiotis Yiannakis or Yannakis, is a former Greek professional basketball player and coach. Nikolaos Georgalis (; born July 23, 1957), commonly known as either Nikos Galis (), or Nick Galis, is a Greek-American former professional basketball player. Antonis Fotsis (alternate spellings: Adonis, Antonios, Greek: Αντώνης Φώτσης; born 1 or 2 April 1981) is a Greek professional basketball player for Ilysiakos. His height is of tall. Alphonso Gene Ford (October 31, 1971 – September 4, 2004) was an American professional basketball player. A 1.92 m (6 ft 3 in) tall, 98 kg (216 lbs.) shooting guard, he was one of the greatest scorers in college basketball history. After a short stint in the NBA, he played professionally in Europe. Panos Fasoulas
Panagiotis "Panos" Fasoulas (alternate spelling: Fassoulas; Greek: Παναγιώτης Φασούλας; born 12 May 1963, in Thessaloniki) is a Greek politician, and former professional basketball player. He was selected in the second round, with the 37th overall pick, by the Portland Trail Blazers, in the 1986 NBA draft. However, he never decided to play in the NBA. During his pro club career, Fasoulas won multiple team titles and individual awards. In 1997, as a member of the Greek club Olympiacos Piraeus, Fasoulas won the EuroLeague championship at the 1997 EuroLeague Final Four. He also won the European Triple Crown title that same year. Dimosthenis "Dimos" Dikoudis (alternate spellings include: Demosthenis, Demos, Ntikoudis) (; born June 24, 1977, in Larissa, Greece), is a former Greek professional basketball player and basketball executive. He is 2.08 m (6 ft 10 in) tall, and he played as a power forward- center. Dikoudis was inducted into the Greek Basket League Hall of Fame in 2022. EuroLeague Legend or EuroLeague Legends, is an award for the sport of basketball, that is given by the EuroLeague Commercial Assets (ECA), which is the organizing and governing body of the EuroLeague, which is the top-tier level professional basketball competition in Europe.
