Grayson, Missouri
Grayson is an unincorporated community in Clinton County, Missouri, Clinton County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. It was listed as a census-designated place (CDP) prior to the 2020 United States census, 2020 census. The community is on US Route 169 four miles north of Trimble, Missouri, Trimble and approximately six miles west-southwest of Plattsburg, Missouri, Plattsburg. The Smithville Reservoir on the Little Platte River is about 3.5 miles to the east. Demographics History Grayson was platted in 1871, and named after the maiden name of the wife of the original owner of the town site. A variant name was Graysonville. A post office called Graysonville was established in 1871, the name was changed to Grayson in 1882, and the post office closed in 1954. U.S. Route 169 (US 169) is a north-south U.S highway that currently runs for 966 miles (1,555 km) from the city of Virginia, Minnesota to Tulsa, Oklahoma at Memorial Drive. Plattsburg, Missouri
Plattsburg is a city in and the county seat of Clinton County, Missouri and is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area in the western part of the state, within the United States. It developed along the Little Platte River. As of the 2020 census, the city population was 2,222. History The area along the rivers had been occupied for thousands of years by indigenous peoples. Trimble is a city in southwestern Clinton County, Missouri and is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area within the United States. The population was 573 at the 2020 census. History Trimble was named after J. M. Trimble, a railroad official.
