Gravedona ed Uniti is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the province of Como in the Italian region of Lombardy, located about north of Milan and about northeast of Como. The municipality of Gravedona ed Uniti contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) of Negrana, San Carlo, Segna, Trevisa, Traversa and, following an act of fusion passed by Lombardy Region, the annexed former municipalities of Consiglio di Rumo and Germasino, included on 16 May 2011. Before 2011, ''comune'' was known simply as Gravedona. The town of Gravedona has a small harbour and overlooks Lake Como and the eastern shoreline. Tolomeo Gallio (also spelled Gallo and Galli; 25 September 1527 – 3 or 4 February 1607) was an Italian Cardinal (Catholicism), Cardinal. Biography In the time of Pope Gregory XIII, he acted as papal secretary of state (in office 1572 to 1585), having a key role in the curia. He built the Villa d'Este (Cernobbio), Villa d'Este, in his birthplace Cernobbio, in 1568, as a summer residence; and the Palazzo Gallio of Gravedona. He was Roman Catholic Diocese of Martirano, bishop of Martirano in 1560, archbishop of Manfredonia in 1562, bishop of Albano in 1587, bishop of Sabina in 1589, bishop of Frascati in 1591, bishop of Porto e Santa Rufina in 1600, bishop of Ostia in 1603. Sant'Antonio, Bellinzona
Sant'Antonio is a former municipality in the district of Bellinzona in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. It includes the hamlet of Carena. On 2 April 2017 the former municipalities of Camorino, Claro, Giubiasco, Gnosca, Gorduno, Gudo, Moleno, Monte Carasso, Pianezzo, Preonzo and Sementina merged into the municipality of Bellinzona. History A grave from the Early Iron Age (750-400 BC) has been discovered in the village. The so-called ''Squadra'' or part of the village made up the medieval municipality of Vallemorobbia. Colico
Colico (Comasco, Comasque: or ; ) is a town and comune in the province of Lecco, in Lombardy in northern Italy. It is situated on the northern arm of Lake Como, where the river Adda (river), Adda enters the lake. Colico is the largest town in the northern part of Lake Como, which is often identified as its Colico branch.
