Grassroot Diplomat
Grassroot Diplomat is a global non-profit, non-political, diplomatic consultancy established in 2013. The consultancy specializes in digital diplomacy and public diplomacy working with foreign governments and citizen diplomats to help build positive impressions of their country that serve at the level of all people, no matter their nationality. History Grassroot Diplomat was founded by Talyn Rahman-Figueroa as a not-for-profit in 2011. In 2013 it was launched at the Embassy of Bulgaria, London, hosted by Konstantin Dimitrov and Dr. Jamie Shea. Mission and objective As an independent diplomatic agency, Grassroot Diplomat has no allegiance to any government in order to remain apolitical and works with all diplomatic missions, anywhere in the world. Talyn Rahman-Figueroa
Talyn Rahman-Figueroa; (born 8 May 1985) is a British diplomatic consultant and chief executive officer and founder of Grassroot Diplomat. Talyn Rahman-Figueroa, United Kingdom Rahman-Figueroa was born and brought up in London, England. Education Rahman-Figueroa received her BA in Japanese and management from SOAS, which included further language training at the Kyoto University of Foreign Studies in Kyoto, Japan. She completed an MA in diplomatic studies from the University of Westminster as part of the Diplomatic Academy of London with additional training at the United Nations and the European Union. She later gained a Diploma in Middle Eastern and North African Politics from Université Al-Akhawayn in Morocco and a Human Rights Fellowship at McGill University in Canada. Jamie Patrick Shea (born 11 September 1953 in London) is a retired official of NATO. He was Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Emerging Security Challenges at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium until his retirement in late September 2018.
