Grangegorman
Grangegorman () is an inner suburb on the Northside, Dublin, northside of Dublin city, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The area is administered by Dublin City Council. It was best known for decades as the location of St. Brendan's Hospital (Grangegorman), St Brendan's Hospital, which was the main psychiatric hospital serving the greater Dublin region. As of 2020, the area is the subject of a major redevelopment plan, running for more than a decade, under the aegis of the Grangegorman Development Agency, including the new Technological University Dublin campus. Grangegorman is also the name of a civil parishes in Ireland, civil parish in the historical Barony (Ireland), baronies of Dublin City and Coolock (barony), Coolock. ''Grangegorman Development Agency'' is an agency of the Government of Ireland charged with redevelopment of the Grangegorman Urban Quarter, formerly within the curtilage of St. Brendan's Hospital. Grangegorman () itself is an inner city area on the Northside of Dublin. Grangegorman, at 29 hectares, was the largest undeveloped site in the City of Dublin. Grangegorman Quarter The New Grangegorman Urban Quarter is a proposed education, health and community development by the ''Grangegorman Development Agency'' for Dublin Institute of Technology and the Health Service Executive within the existing Grangegorman Urban quarter. Bradogue River
The Bradogue River is a small river in Dublin that rises in Cabra and flows into the River Liffey, with its primary outfall at Ormond Quay. It is culverted for its entire course. Names and etymology The river has mainly been known as the Bradogue (or variations on that including Bradoge, Bradok and Braddock since at least the 18th century, but the river has also been known by other names too, including Glascoynock, St Michan's Streams, the Pole Water, and Le Rughdich. Northside, Dublin
The Northside () in an informal but commonly used term to describe the part of the city of Dublin that lies to the north of the River Liffey, and extending into part of North County Dublin. The part outside the city is within the county of Fingal, a local government area established in 1994. Coolock () is one of the baronies of Ireland. It was constituted as part of the old county of Dublin. Today, it covers much of the northern parts of the city of Dublin and the south-eastern part of the modern county of Fingal. At the heart of the barony is the civil parish of the same name - Coolock - which is one of twenty civil parishes in the barony. Ireland uses Irish Standard Time (IST, UTC+01:00; ) in the summer months and Greenwich Mean Time ( UTC+00:00; ) in the winter period. Roughly two-thirds of the Republic is located west of the 7.5°W meridian. Thus the local mean time in most of Ireland is closer to UTC-01:00 time than to GMT.
