Grandview Steelers
The Grandview Steelers are a junior "B" ice hockey team based in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. They are members of the Tom Shaw Conference of the Pacific Junior Hockey League (PJHL). The Steelers play their home games at Burnaby Winter Club. Aldo Bruno is the team's Vice-president and general manager. Stevan Matic is the team's head coach. The Steelers joined the league in 1967 as an original WCJHL team. In its PJHL history, the team has won the Cyclone Taylor Cup twice, in 1994 and 2008. Victoria Cougars
The Victoria Cougars were a major league professional ice hockey team that played in the Pacific Coast Hockey Association (PCHA) from 1911 to 1924 under various names, and (after the PCHA's merger with the Western Canada Hockey League) in the Western Hockey League (WHL) from 1924 to 1926. The team was based in Victoria, British Columbia and won the Stanley Cup in 1925, becoming the final non-NHL team to win the Cup. Dean Malkoc (born January 26, 1970) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who spent four seasons in the National Hockey League between 1995 and 1999 with the Vancouver Canucks, Boston Bruins, and New York Islanders. The rest of his career was spent in the minor leagues, in particular the American Hockey League. Playing career A tough, physical defender, Malkoc was selected 95th overall in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft by the New Jersey Devils. He turned professional in 1991, and spent four seasons in the Devils' system, earning a reputation for his robust play and high penalty minute totals, but never played an NHL game for New Jersey. Ryan Alexander Hollweg (born April 23, 1983) is a former American-Canadian professional ice hockey forward. He was playing his last season with HC Škoda Plzeň in the Czech Extraliga (Czech). Andrew Robert Hammond (born February 11, 1988) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Ottawa Senators, Colorado Avalanche, Montreal Canadiens and New Jersey Devils. Pilot Butte Storm
The Pilot Butte storm of 1995 was a powerful storm and tornado that devastated Pilot Butte, Saskatchewan on August 26, 1995. At about 4:40 p.m., a major wind and hailstorm started in the town. The storm later spawned a tornado, which touched down at the west edge of the town limits, demolishing a farmyard and cement plant. Occurrence The tornado hit Pilot Butte at approximately 4:40 p.m. on August 26, 1995. A ball tournament was being held at the same time as the storm hit. The hailstorm came in first, which produced golf ball sized hail. Later, a tornado formed on the west edge of the town limits. The south and west ends of the town were effected heavily, however, every property in the town had some damage done to it.
